Simon Watts Committee member

Mr. Simon Watts was born in the UK in 1966 but was brought up in Zambia and latterly South Africa. He eventually moved to the North East of England to train as an ENT specialist. Whilst undertaking his specialist training, he was awarded The Joseph Fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery. This involved training in centres of excellence throughout Europe plus establishing research projects in nasal plastic and reconstructive surgery, after which he sat the US board exams for the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He strongly feels keeping up to date on developments within the specialty involves underpinning progress with on-going research and audit. As a result, he now teaches and examines on National ENT / Facial Plastic Surgery specialist training courses. In addition to this, active involvement in local curriculum development and teaching of ENT and Facial Plastics to medical students at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School is a rewarding part of his life.
